Why are there so many Bitcoin wallets like this that are dormant?

These guys have to be dead or lost their keys right?

Who would sit on hundreds of millions of dollars like this and not touch the wallets at all for 5+ years

Obviously government accounts that are for accumulation. They can wait 10+ years, they don't care about spending that money.

if you have 10k+ you also have a nice stack in another wallet
but some of them must be lost

people have died. some of those are just dead people's wallets, lost forever

They haven't been touched though, no sends or receives in 5+ years

Sure you'd sell maybe 50 or your 10,000 stack for just buy a nice house and nice car, and hold the rest. As if you wouldn't take a bit of profits on your BTC that you've held for 5+ years thats been through 2 different ATHs over the last 3 years. What are they all waiting for it to hit $1M/coin before they start taking profit? I doubt it.

Tons of them are lost, back when shit started people were mining and buying them for fun for a few bucks. It's easy to misplace something you don't value much. A lot of them were lost due to accidents - power surge, fire, stolen hard drive etc. Some people just died.
I'm also thinking some of them are waiting for "the right time". Maybe they are trying to go around taxes or are in prison now.

Zionist elites' wallets. They bought for $20 and started a giant marketing campaign on racist image boards to market it as "the weapon to end central banking". They always win.

One of them is probably the pizza place that sold 2 large cheeses and a bottle of coke for $400million.
