>we're reaching a new chapter in chainlink scalability, we're looking at a x10 increase in scalability, so we expect that to create a x10 increase in demand of data we put on chain... people will be able to create more and more financial products around that data... we are in the process of finalizing the launch of a x10 increase in the amount of data we can put on chain, we expect that to have a ripple effect through the larger defi ecosystem... and with that we will increase the breadth and the type of data we will be providing

Does a 10x increase in scalability and data mean a 10x increase in the amount of assets inside DeFi products and a 10x increase in Link's market cap based on its global usage?
This has potential for some explosive price action.

Now that's a hard motherfuckin' fact of life, but that's a fact of life your ass is gonna have to get realistic about. See, this business is filled to the brim with unrealistic motherfuckers. Motherfuckers who thought their ass would age like wine. If you mean it turns to vinegar, it does. If you mean it gets better with age, it don't. Besides, Anon, how many pumps do you think you got in you anyhow? Two? Shitcoin traders don't have an Old Timers Place. You came close but you never made it. And if you were gonna make it, you would have made it before now.

Although, full disclosure I made both of my stacks mostly around the $14 and .30 mark respectively. So it makes no sense for me to sell either one.

I think both are necessary infrastructure for DeFi and Web3. Both are comfy long term holds IMO. Even if you bought the top of GRT I wouldn't sell unless you're looking for super quick gains. Than maybe Chainlink could be a better investment at the moment considering GRT just saw a parabolic rise that Link really has had just yet.

Fren... This is one of the most based portfolios I have seen on here. You are going to make it. Just keep doing what you are doing. You clearly know what how to invest based on usefulness.

The only three on here I do not own is Civic, Golem, and Algo. However, that is because I wanted to consolidate my Civic and Algo into Link. I've simply never heard of Golem so I have no comment on that one.

The only thing two things I can really knock you on is not owning enough Link and possibly owning too much LOOM. I'd simply throw any new money towards Link if you could. As for the loom, I bought into it because it was the cheapest and lowest marketcap on Coinbase and they mention being geared towards the medical field and enterprise use cases. However, if you go to their website, they've completely removed any info about it. At this point, I've decided I have so little in it, I'll just ride it out and see where it goes and hope for an actual CoinBase listing. You have a pretty sizable position on it so IMO it's a gamble that can really pay off or fuck you.

>> No.28842487

>>28842041
Read >>28842088. Chainlink provides tamperproof inputs and outputs to smart contracts. Basically mathematical guarantees that if x happens, then y happens. Now in order for tamperproof data to be provided, someone needs to be paid. You’re not gonna get guaranteed correct data from that provider, however if you pay a premium and you “force” your data provider to risk money on the fact that their data is correct you will get correct and true data. However if their data isn’t true(potentially a bad actor etc) that risked value now goes to the recipient of that provided data. This is called staking. Now these data providers(chainlink node operators) only accept/payout chainlink tokens. Since the token is essentially collateral it needs to increase in value to match the value locked in the smart contract. I’ll leave it at that, maybe someone else will take this further bc I’m going to sleep.

Yesterday might've been the last time to buy any below $30. I say put money in now. And if it goes lower put money in then. If you trust the tech, does it really matter if bought at $25 or $35? yea but they're going to have to switch to defi as it takes over anyway, and they'll want to stop people leaving them to solo into markets so they'll probably split profits so they can actually give people savings returns again. They're losing relevance in peoples minds and becoming a very basic service provider. Once defi proves secure enough you could go into the ecosystem with all your savings and never take it out again. Banks might not have a choice but to start giving customers results

dca is always a good idea. when the 90% correction happens stop and wait 2 years to start doing it again, save up until then, take out a loan and go in at that low. at this point you'll only make it this cycle if you're extremely lucky and risky with your money.

>> No.28843463

No one could ever predict that. The most people can do is try to predict risk levels. It could dump to $28 and still be up from last week. It could "crash" to $20 and still be higher than it was a month ago. The only thing you need to worry about is if you believe in the project or not. You either think a crypto has utility and you invest or you think its garbage and you don't.

It has everything to do with easy on ramps and increased scalability. More users = more data calls = a need for accurate data = willing to pay a price for the best data possible. Defi is still in its infancy, and such there isn’t a way for a regular person to use DeFi yet. That being said, chainlink is theoretically going to become the baseline layer for any smart contract to interact with data. Defi got link to $35(potentially more as it matures), next up is parametric/decentralized insurance look at how etherisc is planning on using chainlink oracles. Then factor in staking. Token value goes out the window. 1 link = 1 link

Thanks fren.

Golem is a distributed compute network built on ETH for pooled use of computer resources like RAM/GPU to quickly accomplish difficult and expensive tasks like CGI rendering, ML... really anything in theory but right now Golem is mostly focused on CGI from what I understand. I think it has great potential in enterprise/datacenters, research labs, rendering farms, and server farms of all sorts. I mostly own this one because I think it's cool af (and I have a bit of personal experience with the industry) so I am long on it as a technology. There is already an enterprise need for shared compute (e.g. SNDBS, Incredibuild) so the market is there.

You are correct I am trying to take the usefulness approach. This forces me to be long which I assume is basically how all Link holders see things.

I'm a bit sketched out Loom's direction since they have already pivoted from gaming to enterprise healthcare and had shakeups in leadership but i'm going to wait a few more months to have them hopefully complete their token exchange from GNT to GLM. I'm going to consider deleveraging my position in Loom by a bit.

One thing I'll add to this is that i assume btc will continue to dictate the market, with an actual usecase real world adoption scenario this may not be the best advice. Although I think link is a great product, defi to me at least seems like an elaborate test bench which will prove links effectiveness but the space itself could do with another cycle to fully mature and therefore will dump with btc this cycle. Next cycle link will be fully adopted and will have a slower but still significant increase.

Chainlink scalability is bad for the price though. Well, good if you actually have to use the coin but bad if you want it to appreciate in value. Look at ETH, it doesn't scale for shit and the price goes through the roof.

Man, nobody will have any idea what he's talking about. The average normie has no clue what "wallets" and "smart contracts" or "the blockchain" is. I think about this a fair bit. I think this is going to be really hard to solve. Part of the reason smart phones boomed is because of the rise of all the centralized services that people love because they’re just so damn convenient to use. Of course that convenience comes at a cost, typically in the form of your privacy and being at the mercy of these companies. Those problems have only started entering the normies consciousness pretty recently. Crypto inherently requires more discipline and personal responsibility, and that’s completely goes against what has been so effective in reeling in normies on centralized services. The only way I can see a mass shift happening is when some of the accessibility problems are solved, and also when the economic incentives become undeniable and everyone wants in. I think we’re still quite a ways from that.
