I get what you mean, there are concerns about its centralization and the fact that most of the tokens are held by developers. The tokenomics might seem fucked but every time new tokens are added into circulation it is announced beforehand. The governing council has permanent seat for the creators and a set of corporations which shift every few years. The governing council dictates the direction the hbar goes.
Now, I get that lack of decentralization concerns you as you are holding monero, however its centralization might be an advantage when it comes to widespread adoption. They jump over the hoops to meet strict regulations so that institutions are more comfortable and more interested in the project. I'm not saying it's a good thing for cryptospace but it's not like other projects are gonna disappear any time soon. In my opinion Hedera has a lot of potential in the long run, if you want you can cover your initial investment after it pumps and then hold it for a year or two and see where it goes
