Pretty much the most simple explanation available. All these other alt coins available are offering extravagant things that will never actually culminate and it’s just a giant pump and dump scheme, lite is what it is, it’s a repro of bit with lowered transaction cost/speeds that’s limited at 1/4th. It’s just quarters to Bitcoin that’s severely undervalued in layman’s terms.

This seems to be a good time to get in right now. Should LTC eventually perform relative to BTC as it has during previous bullruns, that would be an ATH of around $1000. Whether it'll ever actually get close to that who knows, but I think in terms of crypto LTC is a safe bet right now

Out of curiosity, how are you calculating the cost? Not all mines are created equal, and a mine sitting in someone's basement is gonna cost more per kW than a professional mine made for efficiency, getting different rates from their utility. It certainly wouldn't surprise me if LTC as a whole uses that much power, I imagine it just would be hard to calculate for the cost

*SIP* aaaah, reminds me of the time my dad gave me my first litecoin. we were sitting outside on the porch, it was a warm summer evening in late august you could hear the crickets chirp in the distance, and the light from the full moon bathed everything in pale blue light. he took a sip from his monster and said "anon, you're about to be a man, it's time i let you in on our families long kept secret of financial independence" and then he pulled out 1 (in words: "one") LTC out of his shirts front pocket, slowly leaned forward and placed it in the palm of my outstretched hand while gazing deep into my eyes and spoke the words "this one you keep for yourself, and you don't sell it, you just buy more and more, whenever your budget allows it, but you never sell, do you understand son?" i was kind of taken aback, my dad was usually a very blithe and upbeat kind of person, at times a joker you might say. but this LTC thing seemed to be very important to him "yes dad, i will never sell" i uttered. his face slowly turned from his tensed expression into his usual relaxed demeanor "that's my son" he proudly spoke. i often think about my old guy, more often since he passed away a few years ago. but i will make him proud. i will never sell my LTC. *SIP*

Anon... Look at it this way; remember on Saturday, when we hit $230? That was the 24hour High, the 24hour LOW was $190. It experienced a dip just as dark and drastic as this one, and still turned out swell in the end. This is just Sunday Funday Funny Business, it was a mistake to even look at the chart.
