You might be retarded but fear not anon, basically at this point farming before the migration to xDAI will end up costing you more than gas in the 5% instant returns, if you have faith in project then the locked BAO should cover gas but you will need to provide in the interim

As well, when the docs talk about dilution etc it was more aggressive in the early weeks - at this stage holding won't get diluted much in total supply but will have to face it around December when the bulk of locked tokens begin seeping out

I would do some research before you dive in to provide liquidity or farm, as you don't want to be blindsided. BAO is still early days and the advice not to invest if you are not familiar with DeFi patterns still holds - and no-one could tell you if this token is going up or down, all I can say is I believe in the project vision and have not been let down so far.

There's no point staking now since they're switching to xDAI at the beginning of March, which will have a bigger distribution compared to the Uni pool at the time that happens. As far as staking, you'll likely end up losing money on IL from your pool in the short term (which will only be bigger on xDAI), and all the gains except for 5% from farming are locked behind a two year period which starts in December, and then slowly releases your harvest every day until the end of the two year period.
