Some of you will fail usually due to lack of control or lack of knowledge. I hope to change that. When your stack is small, you will be very tempted to swing, fall into hopeful scams, or go big on leverage or loans. Logically, your chances of success are low, and if you fail, you are out even before the actual BR begins. Always remember, there is always another opportunity to make money securely, and it is okay to make money slowly. Relatively speaking to wagies and other fags, you are already several steps ahead in the game, so don't belittle your small safe stacks.

>> No.28687610

When your stack gets bigger, you need to change the way you think and handle your portfolio. What allocation should you give over to safe and secure projects, and what to allocate to risky scammy stuff. Your "safe" portions are a psychological foundation to give you confidence to decide and act, and to fall back on in times of loss or market dips. When you made money, what did you do right? When you lost money, what did you do wrong? Start to focus less on the actual result and think moar of your actions. Reduce your mistakes and shit.

>> No.28687762

When you make money, remember to use some of it. Grab a nice meal or make that small purchase you been eyeing. This helps to keep your profits "real". Dopamine burnout from winning is real and can desensitise you to large amounts and bad decisions.
When you lose, it's not the end fren. Reading about other threads and others making it can wear down your psyche and just being aware of the mental game is enough to lower its impact. If you need to, take a short time away from the markets or stay out of a position or trade. There is always another winning opportunity.

Using this board: unless you lurk almost 24/7, you are not likely to be abel to sieve out good information and are overwhelmed. If you hold a job or are in school, think about the time you are able to commit to this board or market study, and arrange your portfolio or strategies accordingly. The board has good info, but it is tampered by bad actors and people who are not your frens. Also note that there are bots, AI, and sentiment reading programmes on the board so always DYOR before aping.

Hodl and inaction: Sometimes the best action is no action. have some patience to let things pan out. The crypto market is one of the fastest markets but even bitcoin took 13 years to be recognised by the financial institutions. It can sometimes be more effortful to hold when others around you are making gains. Thinking of the transaction fees helps. If you have a hard wallet, store some stacks in there and leave the hard wallet some where else. These help you to distance yourself from safe stacks to hodl.

>> No.28688207

Dexes and Cexes: The current gas fees now show that having Dexes do have their uses. If you use a Dex, have more than a few accounts ready and secure them all properly even if you dun hold $ in ém. At the 2017 peak, people rushing to buy causes websites and apps to freeze, and also when they rushed to exit in the crash. Having at least 2-3 accounts gives you options to trade or to cash out. Make sure that the money routes are smooth boht in and out

realistically how can poor fags with low 4 figures if even that, win at crypto? Is it just a quesiton of putting in 200 dollars on each shitcoin and cutting profits if it x3? At which size of stack should the switch of strategy take place?
Thank you fren

marginal benefit of spending additional unit time on board decreases eventually

cut down to effective time spent on /biz/.

ask yourself the following questions:
which are organic shills?
which are discord pnds and telegram pnds?
what is the typography and characteristics of posters?
do projects shilled here last and have memetic staying power?
are the memes good?

follow that, and you have a framework for investigating the contents of the board.

We are Darwinian consensus based, adjust accordingly

>> No.28688419

>>28688251
realistically i think poorfags should just work on other income streams and get a better job, the shitcoin casino wipes 99% of players imo eventually, unless there is the golden pick. In my time of browsing the board there has only been this few that are golden and survived the years of the market:

btc/eth/xmr/link

but for poor figures who want to take the gamble of the life, take concentrated bets and ride x/10/x50/x100/, have conviction and strong hands in your picks (assuming you really found the golden one), then diversify once you are at maybe 100k or so.

>> No.28688473

Losing: Accept YOUR poor choices and analyse what went wrong. Should you buy back in or is your pride stopping you? Is your greed stopping you from exiting a hopeless position, or pushing your luck in what looks to be a scammy exit? Are there better buy points? Are there better projects? Could there be market manipulation so that you are shaken out? Are you being influenced by the board and its actors? What are your emotions and what is your correct decision? What was your portfolio strategy? Treading strategie? Are you confusing strategy with tactics? Do you need a timeout to reset mentally? Did you allocate wisely? Are you itching for fast action again knowing you lost money yesterday with the same set of conditions? Or are you mentally suited to be a hodler?

Mental game: This is under-discussed in this board. Are you able to handle big wins? big losses? Can you recover from 80% drawdowns? Have others recovered from 80% drawdowns and how have they done so? What lessons can you learn from others on this scammy board (2020-2021 status)? Learning lessons from others is as good as learning them yourself

>> No.28688753

TLDR version: your greed always fucks you up. Mental game important regardless stack size; it can change with stack size. Small stacks still beat no stacks (normies), so don't give up. Good luck!

i am just doing btc, eth and xmr, few shitcoin gambles but 95% in btc, eth and xmr

also have stocks and etfs

i have been holding since 2015 and put a lot of money in during the bear market, will do the same thing when the new bear market comes

>> No.28689847

i read of a strategy where you diversify into early low mc shitcoins and reap x2 profits and repeat until your stack is big enough where blue chips would be a good idea.
Is this retarded gamble or genuinely a good idea?

Also from all the newer coins, which is the most interesting one to come out of this bullrun?

>> No.28690578

>>28689847
defi blue chips are a good bet. there are ways to valuate defi right now, from looking at P/E ratios etc. just search in warosu on defi blue chips and on twitter about valuation metrics and you can find some good stuff.

i like aave, snx, saffron finance. no ideas which AMMs/DEXes will win out in the future.

>> No.28690725

>>28689847
the problem with betting early mc shitcoins and consistently flipping between x2 for many projects is that you eventually go bust.

unless you are a god tier guy or super lucky and get consecutive winning trades you will go bust or lose out on some of the projects u buy eventually, even more so during the bear market when everything is repriced and shit that floats to the top during the bull gets slaughtered.

pick some really good fundamental lowcaps (i wont shill you, and learn to pick them yourself), hold for mid-long term then flip it.

once your stack is big enough get some defi exposure by buying the blue chips, or offer your big dick stack as collateral or yield farm it.

You can be correct directionally on a shitcoin, but say there is a huge crash before the rise. How many newbies in a market can survive that mentally to hold? Add that probability to the chance the chosen Shitcoin rises. Yet people do it because the market must pay me now and fast.

This is a new space but some traditional finance concepts apply. Look at market cap and liquidity (how many people show interest). Another anon earlier also mentioned the meme quality which even the scammers are quick to pick up on. You can read up on tokenomics, think about how a coin can or cannot be applied to real life etc. There are still so many projects not even conceived in this space if you think about mapping current areas in real life to their crypto application. Unironically, lurk this board and try to find the good ideas and arguments although it's getting rarer these days. I estimate it is about a small handful of good threads or posts in each major timezone per week so you don't necessarily have to lurk 24/7. or learn to use warosu to filter and spend time on it. Those who make money and KEEP it have spent a lot of time in this space.

OP hear. The fatigue comes from the speed of crypto markets, the price volatility and overwhelming information. Being on this board does not help but after a while you get used to it. Losing money can also wear you down. a 3x is still something to celebrate over being a no-coiner. hang on fren

! i believe recovering from your first major drawdown of more than 60% can strengthen you. the problem is if an anon has enough funds or experience to recover from there. usually excessive risk is taken and then a complete wipeout follows @ i suspect that compartmentalising your portfolio artificially creates a safe environment to fail so that an anon can learn lessons to exploit

I hate to beg for advice but I’m not feeling great right now due to things in my personal life, and I can’t think clearly about my investments. I bought GRT at $0.10, AVAX at $17. Watched my portfolio approach $70k over the last week. I had planned to hold long term, get into running an AVAX node, delegating my GRT etc. now with the AVAX bug I’m scared DCAing will fuck me.
