And assuming vBTC can remain pegged 1-to-1 with BTC within some small percentage then why would you ever really want to go back to BTC? Only reasons I can think of are to buy things you cant buy with vBTC, but in that case you can just trade vBTC for USDC, ETH, or BTC. Whereas there are a lot of advantages to having that value on the ethereum chain: faster txs, can trade it on dexs, and most importantly you can put it into various defi instruments.
