The best part about all of this is that some of you people are actually, unironically, so incredibly retarded that you don't understand the extremely simple process of onboarding and how you get clients to adopt progressively

I was probably shilling XRP to random people in bars long before you ever heard of it. I had to separate my love because some things don't add up. I was caught up in hopium and married to the token. the very simple fact of the matter is that banks are not going to dump billions and trillions into a token that fluctuates like a stock. they'll use the ledger, sure, but the hope we all had just isn't reality. if we're lucky they offer the tokens in conjuction with it, but why do that even you could just offer Goldman Sachs coin, or TD coin? I believe it will probably go up, but I'm heavily doubting it produces profits like other projects currently out there. don't be so snotty and arrogant, reveals your own stupidity.

I won't call you retard again but I will just tell you that Ripplenet is the hook. You need to understand the process of customer acquisition especially for disruptive systems. The best metaphor I can think of right now while drunk is an ISP signing customers with a competitors network with plans to move their rails into that territory. Literally Comcast will help onboard customer to a competitors network if they know they will be owning the area in a reasonable amount of time. It's different though, but the basic gist is if you are a disruptive competitor that can't fully deploy your solution because it relies on a network of users to achieve efficiency you INSTEAD deploy a less efficient solution that is more adoptable with the future option to "upgrade" to the original idea once the customer network can support it.

Ripplenet now ---> XRP then

ok very interesting take and thanks for sharing. what does "XRP then" look like though? I still don't see XRP transferring large wealth when it would fluctuate. how do you see it being used?

>I still don't see XRP transferring large wealth when it would fluctuate
Tell me the current solution and then tell me how much of an improvement over that an asset that settles in 3 - 5 seconds would be. If your primary argument is fluctuation then you understand that fluctuation is hedged by time to settle. Obviously an instrument that settles in zero seconds is ideal because the slippage risk is literally zero. If you compare XRP to current CB settlement, we are talking about 0.0001 - 0.00001 of current settlement time depending on the corridor and day of the week.

Imagine how much value is hidden 4 decimal places.
