I went from $3000 net worth to $1.3MM in 6 years by playing online poker (semi) professionally (I was in college for 4 of those 6 years so didn't paly full time). I think I've averaged $160k/ year post tax and I've invested about 80% of that money. I'm "only" up $200k from crypto despite getting into crypto in early 2017... I wish I had invested more back then.

I’m the same guy. Phone posting. I put a lot of time into studying poker and got really good. Have been playing high stakes for the 5 years. It’s a lot harder to make $100k+/ year nowadays though. Especially if you start from scratch. Wouldn’t recommend getting into poker now. Games are slowly dying out and it’s insanely competitive.
