That's up to you, its kinda hard to do and I'm still learning how. It could mean that the stock in question might have a major spike coming soon or it could be some big boy selling lottery tickets to retards. Or in the case of a call option, the person that got them might be actually shorting that particular stock and are using the calls to hedge their position.

You need to learn how options work. While you can buy the stock at expiry at the strike you purchased the call option, most people just flip the call premium to another person.

You see, think of options as a way of making a statement about the stock. You are not only trying to make a statement about the direction of the stock, but the velocity of that stock going in a certain direction. People who screw up with options and get scared off by them fail to understand you are making a more nuanced statement about your stock pick because you are also trying to account for that stocks velocity. If you think of options in that sense, playing options can be a lot easier.

I am making a STATEMENT about CRBP filling the gap again based on it's VELOCITY. That is why I chose April 4c instead of February, but not CRBP LEAPS....think about options as a STATEMENT.

Options are probably understood when you relate the theta (theta = time....more expensive options you buy more theta cuz you have further expiry...you bought more time) to velocity. Relate theta to velocity and you will understand options better.
For a call option, you buy certain theta because you expect the VELOCITY of a stock price to be enough to break well over that strike price by that time.....don't buy too little theta that your velocity won't be caught.

Oh I agree 100%, I almost exclusively trade options and pour some the profits into some boring boomer plays and other shit like SOXL, but quite a bit of people as of late have just seen the insane gains you can get with them from pics on wsb or some other place and just buy them and lose the majority of their money. When I say time volatility I mean buy when vol is high or getting higher to increase chances of asymmetric returns, otherwise there is no advantage to trading the options, just trade the stock itself.
The mistake most retail traders make is to avoid high vol and think that buying low vol is the only way to go, since buying low vol which grows to high vol seems like the intuitive way to play options. But buying low vol initially always like almost CERTAINLY leads to a higher chance of volatility crush.
