Isn't Ethereum's adoption enough to give it a permanent edge over Cardano that's just playing catch-up even if their product's better overall?

Everybody and their mother uses Ethereum and there's no reason to switch

So you admit when Cardano releases Smart Contracts, they will be better?

I hope you'll be happy to know they successfully launched a smart contract on their test net.

Release date is scheduled for Q2. Hope you've packed your bags.

Yes, in the same way btc has a permanent edge over eth. Ada should be compared to other 3rd gens like avax and algo but Hoskinson and all the other adacucks avoid those comparisons and focus on eth because avax and algo are better than ada in every way and aren't still in a fucking testnet after 5 years.

Ethereum is vaporware. THe only thing Ethereum will have over Cardano is the same thing Bitcoin has over Ethereum. A 'store of value'.

Also, imagine thinking a platform that just allowed a double spend like Avax is better than Cardano

They've hit every single one of their scheduled releases on time so far. You may be confusing Cardano with Ethereum. You know, the team that promised Eth 2.0 in January of 2020. What year is it again?

Better will only be enough if ETH actually kills the space before L2 comes around. It needs to be a case of "can't use", not "won't use". And this would have to be in a future cycle so the network effect claimed by an ETH Killer would be gained during a bear market. It wouldn't make you jizzy moonshot boy during this cycle.

The mooning will happen anyway though because it is how the pumped ADA and DOT (and scammy BNB) will be divested, tumbled around 2017 musical chairs style, then cashed into fiat shortly thereafter which will end this cycle.

Any of these are good. There is no tribalism here.
If ADA succeeds, we use ADA. If AVAX is cheaper, we use AVAX.
Remember, we are on it for the money, not for heraldry.

>> No.28620057

LOL! You're calling me out for tribalry when you just called out Cardano for not having smart contracts. It's coming out in months. The only person who would say 'tHeY dOnT hAvE sMaRt CoNtRaCtS' is an ethereum fanboy. I presented you facts. How is that tribalism.

Cardano IS coming out with smart contracts. They have already SUCCESSFULLY launched them on their testnet.

It's not about what is cheaper you dumbfuck. If that's the case, stop pretending eth is better. It's going to be a combination of best marketing and best code. Neither of which eth is going to have. Avax just fucked themselves with a double spend.

Anon the thing is I actually use this stuff, I can tell that you do not because you are a caradno shill--which basically means you're all in on the promise of blockchain, but have no real idea what can be built on them and are convinced that ETH is just holding the space back.

I missed ETH too. Thankfully I went all in on LINK and then began to use ETH because it was the only way I could margin trade LINK back then, which lead me down the road of understanding the other protocols being built onchain. I'd be happy to use anything that could give me the same security guarantees that ETH does. However, shilling a vaporware chain that makes a bunch of promises, even if they hit deadlines, is fucking silly. That's exactly what happened with Avax.

You can have all the headcanon you want about how Caradano is instantly going to change the world. Fine by me. The reailty is going to be pretty dissappointing, as it will take years to roll out dapps and steal on chain volume from Ethereum. ADA is tremendously overvalued at these levels for what it is--- a platform that allows you to stake it's native asset and earn more of the native asset.

>> No.28620247

So anyone can explain a retard like me why it is so hard to make a smart contract platform? You just have to ensure the smart contract code doesn't run forever and use a fair pricing mechanism, right? Not hating on anything, just trying to understand why is taking them so long when we have Ethereum's platform working

>> No.28620388

>>28617797
Permanent, no. With the crazy high fees on Ethereum people have a very strong impetus to make a switch. I won't buy any more ERC20 tokens, personally.

>> No.28620735

Cardano is another pump and dump. Nothing can currently compete with eth by far. The devs on eth are pushing innovation boundaries, every other smart contract blockchain is essentially a copy cat. Just like btc eth was here first and the amount of work hours put into upgrading the blockchain is so far ahead of cardano that if all the eth devs stopped working right now it would take cardano devs years to catch up.
There is absolutely no reason for anyone to be invested in crypto and not be in both btc and eth.

>> No.28620788

>>28620135

The only 'Use' you talk about in your second sentence is how you trade crypto. If you truly think this is the only use of blockchain and crypto, then you have no fucking clue.

No fucking shit it's going to take years. We're in early adopters phase.

All the devs I know tell me they like dot as an alternative but ada is a complete joke and no one will develop on it. Hoskinson is a narcissistic grifter no different from CSW and Justin Sun. Devs despise them for good reason.
