Market manipulation is defined as when someone attempts to artificially alter the price of a security. The problem is that any kind of advertisement qualifies as that. There is no "natural" way to alter the price. When apple makes a new phone, their stock goes up. But it goes up because that phone is being shilled as so great and it makes people think the company is going to continue being successful.
It's literally no different from someone like musk saying x coin is great and will continue to rise. It's all just someone saying thing is good -> people thinking thing will continue to be good -> people buy -> price increase
The only time there's any real market manipulation is when people flat out say "buy so the price goes up" but all they have to do is say "buy because this is good" and then it's the same as any other fucking ad.
