Am I a simp if I buy now? I really hate splitting a place with roommates but I don't want to pay $250,000 for a vinyl sided shack one hour from work.

I live in a small town myself, not a populated state by any means.
I bought my condo for ~180k in 2017, these condos are now ~230k+.

Shits a fucking scam I tell you.

US is a bog place. Some places doubling every 6mo-1yr. Some places stable. Weather and such plays a big factor. A lot of Cali people cannot afford their house’s property taxes once they rebuild from fires. So they’re rebuilding and selling and moving. Basically anything within 600 miles of Cali is booming. Anything Texas. Anything New Yorkers retire to.

My main residence went from $200k to 1 million in 3 years. But it’s basically new California. So, time to move.

There is literally no infrastructure there. So it's like Switzerland but without any of the things that make Switzerland livable.

Great views and hiking though. Montana is good for a summer home.

Unfortunately, there are really not many jobs in Idaho or Montana.

This is the boomers last rug pull before they all fuck off and die. They will do all in their power to ensure millenials and zoomer get absolutely fucked. When the last boomer dies watch all real estate lose 99% of its value.

I was born in Montana. People keep trying to move there and last one, maybe two winters.

Why are you fags proud of yourselves? You’re like locusts. You go and consoom and leave the place worse than you found it. California used to be the envy of the world. Now look at it. I’d rather Texas be a dying dust bowl town than a dystopian California hellscape rife with overpriced housing and apathetic nouveau riche congratulating themselves for throwing crumbs to the ignorant, mystery meat proles.

san antonio is increasing steadily but at least it's still fucking affordable. Partially because the city still isn't fashionable.
Austin, on the other hand....
very fashionable. very trendy with the youngs.
good luck getting reasonably priced property there

Phoenix here. Just got new build at 300k 3B/2BA. Prices have gone up 10k every 1-2 weeks. Housing supply Year over Year dropped -55% from last year. CA is invading at unprecedented rate. I look forward to dumping on the CA fags in 5 years and moving to somewhere reasonable like NC.
