I think the only thing I am certain about is that the market will not trade sideways since the Fed's involvement (either more or less) will move the markets in dramatic ways. SQQQ/SOXS trend downward when the markets are "stable" because of backwardation which is generally not the case with TQQQ/SOXL. The premiums of both are also more sensitive to VXX which also tends to rapidly decay. So buying a SQQQ/SOXS deep ITM put on corrections will generate immediate and probably higher returns than TQQQ/SOXL even for the same magnitudes of movements.
At least that is my theory anyway, I will backtest it this weekend.
