prior to that i done manual labour for a variety of companies during the summer and a bunch of different supermarket/resturant summer jobs
..never took any one of those seriously since you got paid shit and treated like trash.

DESU minimum wage jobs are fucking useless and you learn nothing from them. They dont even help you land your first job after you graduate.

this is true, minimum wage jobs are a waste of money and should only be viewed as temporary or a stepping stone.
I know plenty of people who had every opportunity to make something of themselves who have just instead stuck to minimum wage and just smoke weed all day on their mums couch because they are "comfy"

A minimum wage job should literally be for 2 weeks max where you go in and say to yourself "oh wow this is fucking shit, rather get something decent, stack up on cash and do something with my life"

The kitchen I worked in was a fuckin mess because it was always understaffed and only one other Ukrainian dude was willing to actually work, everyone else was lazy and a total pain to work with and it made everything else harder. So many blowins at that job too, they came for a day, made your job harder and then never came back. Nobody wanted to do it. Also it went hand in hand with me smoking like a train to cope with the stress every fifteen minutes, when I kicked that job I was able to kick smoking.
