Why does my metamask wallet token value drop by hundreds of dollars every time I swap tokens? where the fuck is that money going?

It’s not the fault of MetaMask, it’s the Ethereum network. Try configuring pancake swap or some other dex, the fees are negligible.

The fees were only $60 each but my wallet value dropped by almost 1k. This happens almost every time I swap tokens. There is no way this is normal fluctuations, and because everything is so obfuscated (X amount of shitcoin A for Y amount of shitcoin B instead of dollar amounts) it's hard to tell exactly what's going on.
