So we're almost at 500 million of TVL.
Also, they just unlocked the caps on some pairings, allowing for much more TKN to be staked in the pools.

Vortex is coming in a few days, making the BNT protocol burn much more excessively.

We'll hit 5$ next week, guaranteed. Screencap this.

Noob question for bancor bro anons -- how much of link stack should I put in to bancor?

Currently have about 20K total link stack, and just now upped staking on bancor so now have 5K of my total 20K stack.

Bancor seems great but can't tell whether I am risking too much by putting more on?

OK, just took out a loan on my LINK to buy 10k BNT. Should I pick the pool with the highest reward % or... ? And I'm also considering staking some LINK now that it's open, however the 17.4% seems to be about to same amount that I could borrow against LINK on AAVE (I made loan 6k LINK @ 25% for 30k$... which is really close to 17.4% of 6k LINK) Are those payouts about equal or did I math wrong?

>But when the price increases do I keep the number of BNT tokens already earned or does it rebase existing unclaimed rewards according to new price of BNT?

Still learning about Bancor and not an expert but what I can tell you is that when you stake, the rewards show up as the number of BNT you have earned and then in parentheses it gives an estimated USD amount.

IOW I am almost positive that the rewards are paid out in BNT, and so if price of BNT rises (or falls) then it does NOT rebase the reward.

no, that would be incorrect. if you sell your vBNT for BNT and then go and fuck around with shitcoins and end up losing that money
you can then go and buy an equivalent amount of vBNT to unlock your staked BNT

the vBNT acts as a key, if you lose that key, you cant unlock. if you go and buy it back after losing your ass on some pump and dump then you can unlock your locked BNT

but that of course requires going in and buying another load of vBNT, which may or may not be more expensive depending on how BNT moved during your gambles

You can stake either the 1 ETH as it is, or you can stake however many BNT tokens that 1 ETH buys you. You will get better rates staking BNT because it's the native token, but if you believe ETH or LINK will moon harder than BNT, you might want to hold onto those instead and stake them for lesser rewards while still being safu.

Impermanent loss occurs when one of the tokens moons hard while the other stays stable. Due to the way pools normally work, you'll take a hit because you need to cover two tokens in a normal pool. You would have made more money if you held onto a mooning token in your cold storage instead of pooling it which is obviously a shit deal and a reason why many whales are still skittish as fuck to stake even if you have a secure contract. Bancor solves this by making sure you are 100% covered against impermanent loss if you stake for 100+ days.

This is what I'd like to know too. Presumably the curve is going to throttle how often you can do this because eventually you will just be losing vBNT value every transaction, thus never having enough "keys" to unlock those stakes - but so long as the ratio is close to 1, you could leverage up the ass and those tokens would keep mining liquidity and rewards for you until you finally scrape together enough vBNT to unstake them.

alright BNT chads I'm completely stumped here, any random guess will make my decision easier. I've narrowed my 10k BNT stake to:

WBTC 112% + 4% @ 57m liq
REN 115% + 12% @ 10m liq

It sounds like rewards go down as total liquidity in the pool goes up, so that's why I ruled out the LINK pool. However, LINK is safe to stay in the rewarded coin pool, whereas REN maybe less likely to get renewed for the reward pool after its 43d timer expires. WBTC should get renewed I'd guess. REN has a lower liquidity, which should stay lower, and therefore hold higher ROI. WBTC is giving 2x the returns on the TKN side, 40% vs 20% for REN. Does that mean that pool is getting more rewards even at 5x the liquidity size? I've been crunching this for hours and can't get a clear view.
