Explain why GRT won't be a $10-$15 stable coin. I still think its a great buy and hold.

It’s issued on a schedule. By the time June comes they are going to need the dump from all of the tokens being burned through delegation

>> No.28447143

The Graph $Grt interests me. However, I am worried about their token distribution.

Nearly 6 billion tokens are set to be introduced into circulation by June/July.

That seems extremely aggressive to me.

Any thoughts?

GRT is a long hold. I was surprised it pumped so high, but I still think EOY it'll be ~$5. But the benefit from GRT is not from price alone, it's from delegating.
I would be hyped if during summer the price dipped below a dollar, because I'd triple my stack so I can delegate more. Other people who delegate also realize this and are likely to buy the dip.

The tokens being released from early backers are the same. Yes, they are likely to sell a portion of their stack to make their investment back and some profit, but they are just as likely to delegate the rest again to continue to earn profit. Even if GRT remained at $1-$2 for a long time you get passive gains of 10%-20% annually for doing nothing but not selling.

>> No.28449451

>>28448749
That's what makes it so good. You're gambling in a casino but the money you put in is held for you and you're forced to gain more of the tokens you'd get from the machine. The slot machine keeps rolling and you can stop it any time you want, but as it rolls you make more money. When you stop rolling the reward should realistically only change within a marginal amount - unless you FOMO'd like a retard when stopping the roll.

It is paid in GRT.
No, because GRT is burned on queries and when users delegate or undelegate, and there is a max supply. It is in your best interest that you're paid in GRT right now, because if the price of GRT is to rise in the future you make more money. Think of you buying GRT each paycheck, but instead, it's free GRT - GRT not in circulation because it is immediately delegated.

idk how i feel about going all in on a project this early especially in a bull market. fuck fuck fuck fuck. i like the theory of the product, but i dont know whether big tech and big companies will destroy this sort of system first or if they eventually say, fuck it we'll join this system as major players.

>> No.28456916

>>28456333
It is entirely possible that short term there is a large dump, especially if bitcoin tanks for any reason. It is also entirely possible the coin recovers or continues to go to $3-6, which is a fairly healthy amount for this token. If you believe in the product you would be holding it long term and you would recover regardless if you're delegating. You would be quite literally investing in the token's future (and therefor your own), that's what investing is.

would never advise doing all your savings without holding enough for 1-2 months rent and living expenses. You also maybe have time to accumulate still, so you can buy at different price points over paychecks. Or not. Do more research first. There are other good investments to be had in crypto right now too.
