I posted years back about my cats surgery but got laughed at. I had to overdraw my account to pay, he still ended up passing. But the anger I felt towards family/friends for refusing to help and anger at myself for being in such a position over $500 pushed me deep into crypto to where I'm now "retired" with several houses and wife/kids and crypto stack. But late at night sometimes I sit alone and whisper promises to my long past friend about things to come and how much he meant to me over all those years and how his death was such a turning point in my life.

A friend of mine as a joke bought $2k worth of bitcoin in 2011 at parity with the dollar. He cashed out at $18k during the first big irrational exuberance a few years ago.
