Ok boys, Pangolin wasn’t a rug pull after all!

Time to load up your favourite DEX (Pangolin or Zero Exchange) and drive Ethereum into the ground!

"The team is ready with the fix, and will attempt to bring the network back to a healthy state. The bug was in the glue code between Ethereum VM and Avalanche network that put the network in a faulty state. It was not a fundamental error with design, protocol or anything like that. All the funds and state is preserved and safe.

ETA to recovery still not available, we'll keep you updated. Things need to be triple checked before we proceed.

A fully detailed post mortem with all the gory details will be available once the seas are calm and everyone well and rested."

Also:
""The team is currently working on testing and deploying a fix. And a detailed explanation of what went wrong, why and why it won't in the future is coming at a later time, after everyone takes some time to rest."

Team is seem confident this problem will never occur again.

this is why you start with formal methods and peer review
its why you develop multiple competing testnets
then movie to series of testing
then launch when you know its ready

ADA is taking over Tether as we speak while AVAX plunges.

>> No.28402253

>>28397882
You are not going to drive ethereum into the ground, idiot. Quite the contrary. Fees have gone down after projects migrated to pangolin, which will push ethereum price up.
DeFI needs AVAX. We need more platforms for it, or fees will go to the roof and beyond, which will kill DeFI in the long run.

>Take no risks
>Improve nothing, introduce nothing new
>Fork ETH

>Then brag about muh "ready to use"

And AVAX is more than ready to use, The problem isn't concerned Avalanche capabilities/design (In that aspect avax is head and shoulders above the competition) but validity check bug, Literally the smallest of network problem you can have.

btw it's not the first bug i expect for AVAX for the upcoming year, 80-90% of all bugs come in the first year of every system usually.

>> No.28402959

AVAX seems cool, but clearly it’s not ready to flip ETH. I mean how many transactions did it take before it completely broke? Maybe it’s fixed for good, but it definitely makes me confident in ETH for at least the best future.

ETH sucks, but it doesn’t at the same time. I’m glad there are more platforms coming, especially those with inner operability.

My friend said, if you know what I mean, that the white hat hacker did indeed close his long poition at $57 to cash in 6 figures but still keeps the actual 64k stack and is waiting for the dip. If you know what I mean.
