Do you know of any broker where you can set up something like "scripted orders"? E.g. I'd love to set up a stop loss that sells the stock on the stop, but immediately places a buy order too, to rebuy if it was just a small crash.

This is all bullshit. I can’t believe all of this shit. It gives me anxiety. I‘m a poorfag with 1k to invest and got out of all my meme positions lately. Would’ve made me good money but now I’m just fucked. I threw all my money at KTOS and WKHS which also feels wrong at this point. Thinking about going all in on GEVO. But I really don’t know. I hate what reddit did to the market. "New Paradigm“ fat sell signal. I hate being who I am right now. So much seems to be just about the attitude and not about fundamentals. A good friend of mine is really fucking dumb and made a lot of money gambling on shitcoins which gives him a lot of confidence based on nothing, just the hollow meme energy. Now he applies these strategies of "just hodl“ to trading stocks. I feel like I’m never gmi because I’m neither dumb enough nor really clever. Just of average intelligence - the stock market made me realize. So what can someone like me do? "Know your stocks“ shall lead me the way but in peak clown market nothing matters it seems like. Just buy some good stocks and don’t look at my broker anymore? What are good stocks to hold through the recession? Just be all cash at this point? Only come to /smg/ AH or during the weekends? I’m desperate. This whole thing gets to me. Throw more money at good stock picks now? I could put more money in but is it really the right time? Put money in and just start buying the dips? Not having enough money to buy the established, good companies like TSM gets to me too. Holding 10 TSM seems like a joke. 50 GEVO. Fuck me. "Get a job" fuck

No wonder you have anxiety.

Is your 1k something you can lose without breaking a sweat? If not, don't do it. Scared money doesn't make money.

I looked into how to daytrade S&P 500 with 20x leverage and concluded that basically unless the market is pumping and you time it well it's not possible to reliably make a gain since the S&P 500 intraday kind of does a random walk, so any trend might reverse at any time. So the money you'd gain from it occasionally going in the right direction and staying that way would barely make up for all the times (the majority of the time) that you cross your stop loss.

Many CFD brokers have negative account protection which means if you end up with negative profits it gets reset to 0
So you only put into your account what you're willing to lose and you're good. stop losses help too but those sometimes gap obviously

>> No.28398312

>>28397842
>infinite downside
it's not infinite, and besides you usually get margin called when you're 50% down, which limits how much loss you can go through. With CFDs you just have to be very careful with how you handle losses (basically bail at the first sight of things not going your way), if you're following a solid pump on one stock and sell the top well enough it's fine. You also don't have to go all in and you can diversify to hedge against downsides, but obviously if the whole market dumps you might get fucked. If you do things right you can also double compound which is when you buy more as your gains make more capital available, but obviously that's risky.

Anyway it's fun to have a secondary CFD account for when you're confident and potentially want to turn a few hundreds of play money into a lot more quickly, and get more out of stocks that aren't very volatile (definitely don't use CFDs on volatile memes unless it's for like 10 minutes).
