28354885 No.28354885 [Reply] [Original]

AVAX is pure spaghetti code. AVAX was without a doubt a great idea; I will not deny that at all. However, most people in crypto don't have the comprehension or knowledge to be able and look at the code-base and identify flaws that could be catastrophic, both in terms of economic, security, and overall functioning in cost signals.

Turkey man is smart. However, he's the most retarded smart person in all of crypto. He's a fucking man who doesn't own up to his inability to produce a creation and has longevity. Him and his cronies wrote shitty-ass code. It can't scale. The only way it can scale is constant upgrades each time they feel things are getting congested. This is where the problem lies. It is impossible for AVAX to implement a scaling solution to where it doesn't need upgrades anymore. For AVAX to work, it will need constant upgrades of AVAX 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, so on and so forth for an indefinite amount of time - just kicking the can down the road. Off-chain scaling won't work either because AVAX security is already shit on a stick. Making something more complicated that is already a piece of shit is 100% pointless. People can never steadily develop something on AVAX because with each 'scaling upgrade', those who are creating on AVAX will have to pivot each time to ensure their product is compatible to work on AVAX. To sum it up, each time AVAX decides to upgrade to scale, it just gets worse.

The only way to permanently fix AVAX would be to roll back the chain to the beginning almost.

It's rather disturbing that a Blockchain smart contract platform has failed after a few hours of experiencing an enormous amount of users, all of which was expect. I'm dumbfounded at the fact that the developers knew about this and didn't try to mitigate the risk. Initially it was the explorers that had failed and the API nodes, then it was the X and C chains, while the P chain was designed to lock up the funds of the users. Its safe to say that there will a rollback of the platform setting us back to roughly 2-3 days before the platform had experienced such an influx of users. That being said, this will also send any AVAX that wasn't staked back into the "ether" so to say. When Emin said funds were Safu, he was referring to the funds of the Validators that had preemptively chosen to lock up their AVAX as a way to avoid the risk of having their tokens returned back to the stream (not a bad thing as it will reduce the number of AVAX in circulation significantly). While I'm certain Avalanche will recover, it will most definitely take some time. My colleagues and I are expecting a 75% drop over the next 2-3 days as the network comes back online and the validators begin derisking. We will decide to purchase again at our expected price point of $9/AVAX.
