People don't like to diversify on /biz/ because they're obsessed with 10x'ing their folio every 2 weeks or going broke trying. I'm going to give you some hope.

People don't realize you can get exponential returns with even the most extreme diversification. But this depends on two things:
1. Your picks aren't scams that go to 0 (and don't lose a good amount of their value)
2. Some of your picks actually moon

The second one is trivial especially if you're attempting to avoid the scams as required by the first one. But assuming you keep your losses to a minimum, you just have to redistribute the coins that moon into the ones that don't. That ensures that a very small portion of your entire folio will experience extreme exponential returns.

For example, pick 10 coins, assume 5 of them 5x and 5 of them don't change in value. Starting with 10k, 1k each, if you completely sell off a coin after the 5x and distribute the holdings into the rest each time, and assuming the pumps don't overlap timewise, so you have time to redistribute, your folio by the end of the five 5xes will be worth about 80k. Note a lot of your portfolio experienced no gains, so the fact that you still managed 80k off your original 10 is fantastic. During the real alt season this will be very easy, especially with your picks because they're a lot of top 100 coins that aren't scams are will moon in some capacity.

The only thing you have to be careful of is fees, especially with how high they are this cycle and especially with the number of coins you have. The more redistribution you have to do the more you'll be paying. And I haven't done any math but can say for sure with the number of coins you are in, you will get raped by fees with this strategy.

Do you understand the point of diversifying your portfolio? It’s to do one of two things: reduce risk (or variance) for the same expected return or increase return for the same risk. How do you calculate risk? The most common way is to calculate the variance of the returns. There’s a number of models out there to do this. And to calculate expected return? That is a similar mathematical exercise. The advice is to dig into the data. You’ve already invested into a bunch of shitcoins. Extract the expected returns and variance from this data over whatever time frame you want. Then, play with various combinations over the total amount you are willing to invest allocated across different coins. Plot out the return vs variance frontiers and make your choice from there but make it in comparison to the variance and expected return of your current portfolio.
