probably, i haven't really looked at it though. What i look for is the winner in each category that i think is most likely to survive longterm. Bitcoin won store of wealth, ethereum won smartcontracts, link won oracles, and i think what is probably the best move right now is doing some serious research and figuring out who is going to win defi and yield farming.

Without the dumb money, Sergey would have to dump the entire dev wallet to keep DeFi afloat while that same dumb money pumps ETH. As it is, the nodes are running close to a 50% loss on each block. Without the current valuation, LINK fees would need to be subsidized 270%. That'd push LINK through the floor without the dumb money to mop that up. LINK cannot survive a bull market without retail support.

Do you think that each service and sector will have a monopoly that blows everyone else out of the water or will it be a tighter market share for things like DEFI? I also think decentralized cloud storage and computing will eventually matter albeit maybe farther down the road. What other services will drive bull cycles I wonder? There's more than enough to keep the exchanges and dev teams solvent but not enough to support a few thousand people collectively carving a few billion out of the market. The total liquidity in crypto today is $2.6 USD equivalent. At $100 LINK, there'd be a lot of LINK positions that could shed millions of USD worth of tokens to cause massive liquidity issues and so these people need to be kept in their place.

It's cheaper to wall LINK down and accumulate it with Tether (costs nothing really) than it is to watch actual people run to the doors for actual dollars on Coinbase, Kraken, and Gemini. The actual fiat exits are not for us until waves of retard money enter and crush all the walls.

For the time being, it's mostly about whales accumulating BTC through alts and whales selling BTC OTC.

i don't think there will be monopolies but the herd will be a lot thinner than today. It'll be like the dotcom boom/bust where tons of bs companies popped up and folded in the span of a few years, leaving behind the real companies that survived. We don't need hundreds of bitcoin killers, hundreds of eth killers, and we definitely don't need thousands of tokenized projects that work on very small problems with little scope. All of those will fade away and projects that solve generalized problems will take their functionality under their umbrella.

When you look at previous cycles everyone was trying to repeat the sucesses of the past but better or faster or cheaper. But while people were trying to build a better bitcoin, ethereum came out and stole the show. The projects that drive future cycles won't be marginal improvements, they'll be the first of something new that hasn't been thought up yet. So i can't really tell you what will drive the next cycle because its probably a solution to a problem that doesn't exist yet.
