I work at a leading largecap fintech company with thousands of employees, many under 35. I'm in a position where I interact with many teams across the company, so I get to know and speak with a fuckton of people.

I can tell you that even in my industry, fucking nobody is investing in altcoins other than dogecoin. Nobody knows this entire market exists. People still barely know what bitcoin is, except for the fact its on the news a lot and seems to keep going up. The level of technical illiteracy and ignorance about this space is immense with normies. Even normies working in the very industry sectors that should be most aware of this technology are completely clueless

It's easy to forget just how early we all are, investing in our defi and eth-replacements and other useful tech. I have come across ONE person in my years at this job who recognizes a coin other than BTC/ETH. ONE out of thousands

Everyone in this forum is gonna make it if you buy and hold. fucking everyone. you have no idea how early you are

just invest as much as you can in good projects and fucking hold for dear life. trust me, you will fucking make it

but would someone say the same of you if you never speak about it in public? i agree with you but still think that perhaps more people have interests than we think

So what project would you recommend?

Possibly, but my sense of the situation is that at most 5-10% of people i interact with might be aware of the altcoin market. We've had company training sessions on blockchain and it was painfully obvious the level of knowledge was low across the board

the real number of savvy investors is definitely extremely low at the moment, and most of us here are still considered smart money for many of the projects we're investing in

yep in a similar boat, normies have no idea this entire crypto market exists. most people have now heard of bitcoin, but maybe 5% of people have HEARD of ETH, let alone are invested in it.

the entire crypto market is still in it's complete infancy, just pick a portfolio of anything in the top 20, DCA and hold and you will make it within the next 5 years.

Then most people won’t be stupidly rich in a short amount of time. Only crypto can do this.

Pretty much. I cringe at retards here who think this is the top. This is the next dot com bubble, mark my words. We are going to 30 trillion market cap someday

My reccomendations would vary depending on how much capital you have to invest, how much time you're willing to commit to DYOR, how patient of an investor you are, how much income you earn from your job, your risk tolerance, etc

I personally have a high risk appetite and spend most my time thinking about this market. So I pick low-mid market alts with solid fundamentals and wait for them to moon. This worked great for me in 2017 and its working great again now. If you have little money, you should be playing riskier in my opinion and buying lowcap defi coins that have a higher potential upside so you can make the most of the bull market

true, i keep my mouth shut in them too! the only time i've spoken about it i've been told it's a scam,
>this was in 2017
recently doge came up but i got the feeling most were clueless on how to actually interact with crypto in general based on how they spoke
