Most crypto is actually stored in exchanges rather than personal wallets, and if they're not they still make a considerable amount of coins.
I think this would end with a Corralito style crash, where the banks under government's orders froze bank accounts in US Dollars for 90 days but ended up exchanging them without the consent of the owner to Argentinian peso, which was depreciating quickly.
In this case, just some "funds are safu" in USDT while tether crashes under pressure eventually.
