And here we see a specimen of the slave class. Note how they are so strongly conditioned to accept their enslavement, that they can't even fathom anything else. The only option they have is the one laid directly before them by their master.

Roth 401k is literally your money. It’s post tax. Traditional 401ks are pretax and has all kinds of stupid rules on it. Honesty I would always say go Roth because taxes you pay now are almost surely going to be less than the taxes you pay at retirement. A financial adviser would probably tell you to invest in both because traditionally it fluctuates

>> No.28212444

I only invest in my 401k because my company matches me up to 6% of my salary vestments.

I.e. if my salary is $1,000 and I opt to invest 6% of it into the 401k, aka $60, the company also throws in $60 into my account.

>> No.28212451

You’re not supposed to put most of your money into your 401k. You put 10-20% of your paycheck and put your other money into mutual funds, stocks, crypto, Precious metals, gold, etc.

>> No.28213655

You can withdraw contributions, not gains.

Right now the general idea is your taxable income is less now than it will be when you’re 60. So pay the tax now vs pay when you withdraw (trad 401k)

With proper setup with stocks and coin you can easy get 8-10% gain each month. If positioned correctly with 40% stocks, 40% crypto you may not get hit with a big loss. What is the other 20%? That is your fun risk monies. That you toss into the pump and dump and stocks you think will go up but for stupid reasons.
