Can someone tell me why crypto is the future? It seems like garbage. I’m not hating I’m just curious.

The only thing that it can do is send money internationally? With sky high fees and 30 minute wait times. So if square goes international it’ll be the future and crypto is dead?

well, you can send money to the al-quaeda without some kike nigger from your bank blocking the transactions

joke's apart. blockchain will become the backbone of the internet 3.0(impossible to be censored and descentralized and such). while BTC is a store of value for large ammount of cash transfers without a 3rd party.

you can also be a nazi without any kike taking you out of the financial system or anything.

im gonna do a coin called $NGR that will be backed purely by racism

Not exactly an expert myself, but I still think it's the future, depending on whether or not Uncle Sam and other central banks win their war on it. It's a great asset (not shitcoins) to hold against inflation, while also being more convenient and infinitely more portable than gold and other precious metals. Sure a great deal of crypto is backed by faith just like fiat is, but at least that faith is the public's and not just government force. Also, it may be possible for more cryptos that are tied to an asset to emerge. This can hopefully bring a more stable crypto into fruition.

Keeping purchasing power under your control and being able to send it internationally is a huge use case. Just look at recent examples of Lebanon or Argentina. Capital controls in those countries forbid money from leaving through the legacy banking system. Banks also prevent cash withdrawals and hold your deposits hostage to remain solvent. Its called bank bail-ins and look at cases of Cyprus, Spain, Italy and the UK soon in 2022.

In the west you are simply blind to these risks so you don't see the value this asset class offers. That being said, crypto has its own risks which many here are blind to as well...

It gets worse: if you make a typo and send money to the wrong adress, it's gone and you will never get it back. That's the main reason why crypto will never (!!) become a substitute for fiat money and the banks. It's money, alright, just very lousey money.

Bitcoin is a red herring to a falling dollar. There is no value in it besides the side show. Some countries are already aware of the scam and have opted out(Nigeria, India). For low peasants such as ourselves, we are just a cog in the machine. Make sure to get out before it breaks.
