Yes but after the dip the institutions bought a ton of shares off of scared retail traders (we are here). Ryan Cohen's known to "protect shareholder value" by doing things like buying the dip or threatening the CEO and it wouldn't surprise me if he bought around 40's from Tuesday. Also there's no way the shorts could buy 90 percent of gamestop without making the stock price go up, while also shorting it so there's definitely going to be more short interest than the original 122 percent.
