Edit 2; I’ll give you my 2cents on a crypto that could be a game changer. Kin, kik messenger token. No point on shilling you this since the mcap is so high, even if Biz dumped 10K each wouldn’t change anything. Survived SEC, for what I know is 1 of 3 cryptos acknowledged as currency by SEC (the others are BTC and ETH). Dirty cheap right now, basically dead. Heard a rumore about telegram eyeballing it after their token got dumped. Might be interesting and might have a real world usage
Worst case scenario I threw 3K off the window, best case scenario even at 0.01 cent is a big score.

This. Some projects do have genuinely good communities that have back and forth discussion on white papers and the tech proposed (I won't shill it here because I'm still accumulating). Those are the projects that are worth getting into if they're on /biz/. A more reliable way to not get rugged would be to drop some change into every coin that gets listed on coingecko as soon as it gets listed. Even then, that's an absolute crap shoot, so do whatever you need to screen out the bullshit from the genuine early products.

It’s very easy to spot a legitimate project though, if you have above 80 IQ and lurk for a few months before investing you should never fall for a pump and dump. Now does that mean legitimate projects will make you money? No. There are coins like PNK that may end up being failures even though they are legitimate projects. But most coins are something like Sushi that are such blatant pump and dumps and the only reason people buy them is to be the person who dumps them, and hope they aren’t the person who gets dumped on. Anyone who buys those total shit coins deserves to get dumped on and deserves no sympathy.

Yes, you have to extensively search to find anything good here. But still, when you find something it’s necessary to understand what that shitcoin does & who are the developers & if it’s worth to invest in it. I got fucked too, don’t get me wrong.
