my only tale of all in was in 2009, when I put 100% of my 401k in the S&P 500 super low expense fidelity fund, and all future contributions also to go to that fund. Zero diversification at all, against all advice. 11 years later, the S&P 500 has outperformed all other major asset classes (ie gold, bonds, european equity, EM), and now it is at $1.2MM. I did get lucky on Apple and Nvidia too, putting about $30K in each 5 years ago. But those were not huge bets like my 401k.

I bought bitcoin and then got stoned and forgot how to fuckin access that bitch to see how it was doing. He once bought me a used BMW X1 that I sold for a couple of kilo's of hash. Aged 24 only worth 95 fucking dollars and I lost that. Eventually though I managed to buy another bong after I stayed at my parents for 5 weeks and saved my welfare checks

Pretty close. I put 90% of my savings, about $33k, from 3 years of work into one oil company after the oil market crashed in 2015. The stock I picked, already down around 70%, then lost another 90% of value and crabbed for 5 years. I finally sold for about $3k when the market crashed again last year because I was tired of bag holding that shit and thought I could get better returns by reinvesting in other stuff at the bottom of last year's dip.

Obviously I have had some recovery since then (everything has gone up in the last year), but yeah I basically lost $30k on that move and it was pretty much all of my savings at the time.

I'm up to $125,000 now, highest was $175,000.

I expect another 10-20x within the next 2-3 years,
not selling any until 50c but will always leave most of my stack in for arbing,
