Bao (包) stands for a treasure or package. Something wonderful that is wrapped up in another layer. Bao buns, or in Chinese Baozi (包子) are delicious wrapped dumplings. These bao buns are the tradition of taking something good that exists, and wrapping it up into being a new treasure.

Bao Finance aims to do this by being a new protocol that adds features to existing DeFi systems.

Think of Synthetics as the Derivative of the crypto world, but dramatically more expansive in scope.

Most people do not understand synthetics. They think that derivatives are only good for synthetic stocks. They just want to buy $APPL or $TSLA on the blockchain 24/7.

This is an interesting community project. It is like SNX plus Aave but for Uniswap, SushiSwap and Balancer. Rather than re-invent the wheel Bao creates new features for existing protocols. The BAO token acts as a governance token for the fully community run project. It is also backed by the insurance fund where all Bao fees go. Bao Finance is first focused on providing a fair early distribution, and then on the creation of synthetic assets.

Alt maxis fail to consider that crypto (including all alts) would not exist without BTC. For anyone worrying they "missed the boat," you absolutely did not. We're 10 years into crypto and following the Robinhood / GME debacle, faith in traditional markets continues to decline -- this is where crypto will continue to shine. At the risk of sounding hyperbolic I am convinced crypto is the future of finance, and synthetics are the future of derivatives.

I think this is legimately the best point to buy BAO. The hype of "lmao X10 X20 X50!!!" has died, the project is still alive and running, the community got diluted because of the FUD of this week, price went down, and now it will go up, steadily but surely.

Meanwhile there're 20 other threads shilling scamcoins burying legit projects like this, promising you yo multiply your money in one day but you're just going to get dumped on.

This is probably the last time you can buy BAO at this price. Im not saying you should go all in, but buy. If you're wondering where you should invest next time, this is it. Don't fall for scams or cheap shills.
