I'm new to lending and have been watching a few vids on Aave, and have been playing with it on the Kovan test network, which I have managed to get going. I'm still a little vague on fundamentals, though. If I connect my hardware wallet and 'deposit' my link stack, does the link stack still stay in my hardware wallet address, and I just agree not to move them? If I retain custody on them in my wallet, how can anyone borrow them, and how can I earn interest? I'm pretty retarded with all this, so any pointers gratefully received

Yes, but what happens to my actual Link? Do I hand over custody of them to Aave? Or do they stay in my wallet, untouchable by Aave? I'm unclear on this. What I want to establish is whether there is any risk to my (real Link) stack whatsoever
