People want it to be, and for that reason, it wont.

I can tell you now, 99 to 99.9% of /biz/ secretly wishes it would happen, so they can quickly jump in and "rewind time" as its as if they never missed out on buying BTC in 2009-2011.

Now because of this, guess what, its not going to happen.

Unfortunately all of us that came in late (but still early relative to where BTC will go in 10 years) just have to accept paying the price we have to now, and to do whatever we can do accumulate at any price we can.

We're basically late to the early party, but the actual party has started yet.

Yes , as more and more are created the less worth they are, this is the fundamental weakness of crypto, the people who created it knew, that as more different ones enter circulation , the less value they have.

Soon everyone will have their own crypto that does the same thing as everyone else.......................then POP

That's a good point. Look at how many things are basically rebranded bitcoin: bitcoin cash, litecoin, dogecoin etc.
There are 8,500 coins on the market with a dozen new ones every day, yet the total crypto market cap only rises only gradually. Inevitably either the market will be totally oversaturated and none will have any demand or they'll get whittled down to a handful or few dozen that take dominate the whole market. The second would probably take some government mandates creating a large barrier to entry, ie needing to get a banking license and be regulated as a security.

This would be true if we were still living in those times.

This is clown world times. This is QE to infinity times.

You dont understand this, so your assumptions are based on a completely different time and situation that does not pertain to what the world is like now and how the global banks and governments are handling it.

Im sick of explaining this on /biz/, seems to be so many completely clueless people posting here

>> No.28063473

no, still in price discovery and development phase. honestly, if you buy now you're still pretty early. there are going to be a lot of projects that rocket (and die over the next few years). still so much untapped potential, and many more people yet to invest in crypto.

I feel bad for them though.

They're not buying bitcoin because they think it will crash or be worthless

They're not buying a house because they think its overpriced and that "SURELY" they have to come down, and down A LOT.

Theyre sitting back and waiting, not realizing theyre being left behind, and that the world does not work the way they think it does anymore.

I cant help but feel bad for them to still be stuck in the illusion.

No, perhaps you don't understand. In nominal terms, the 1970s saw stocks decline 50%. They were half the price they used to be, even in the face of MASSIVE inflation. In real terms most stocks lost 90% of their value.

Things can still go down even with money printing. Supply and demand still affects assets even when the number of dollars held by buyers goes up.

You are probably quite young and not economically literate. Inflation is not merely a function of money supply. This is why Schiff has been wrong the past 10 years. It is a combination of an increase in the money supply and the velocity of that money, which is at all time record lows. The printed money is replacing the money which used to be exchanged 4 times a day and is now only being exchanged every 2 days. They are equally 'money', even though one is on paper and one is just the same piece of paper being held by four different people. If circulation picks up again then yes, inflation will rise, but BTC going to 40k is not the dollar going down by 75%. It is people like reddit piling into BTC with everything they have, as well as their stimulus checks, that is causing a massive increase in demand. They are doing this because they think an increase in the supply of the monetary base is going to cause hyperinflation. They are long-term right, short-term wrong. BTC and stocks are going to crash in real and nominal terms, and inflation is going to steal any gains, but it will happen over years.

You should not be betting with the crowd. The entire market, mainstream media, and federal reserve is telling you that next week the dollar will crash and the world will be the weimar republic. This isn't going to happen overnight. A lot of people are going to cash out, get margin called, or simply realize that the hyperinflation is just regular inflation, and asset prices propped up by hyperinflation fears will fall, causing a rout. It will probably happen in the next 6 months. Screencap this if you want.

What if I told you, you're logically correct, but that the economic system in the world is not logical anymore, and because of that, it will not play out logically.

I am not saying the system will collapse, what I am saying is normalfags will not get this crash, and then long term bear market, which will allow normals to get into owning assets, this will just not happen. In fact the reverse will happen.

In the next 20 years home ownership will dramatically decrease as boomers die off and inheritances are split, and asset prices continue booming, and bitcoin will increase 20-100 times what it is now along side this.

Idk, it feels a lot more like the goldrush era, limitless opportunities and due to decentralization the technology itself lends to little or no rules whatsoever, lots of millionaires to be made overnight.

And sure the bubble will pop by the end of the year and then 2 or 3 years later the cycle will repeat, why? Because there's already too much money circulating between crypto maximalists, even if people take profits, they will eventually come back in for seconds and the cycle repeats once again.

This is the best opportunity of our lifetime

This anon gets it.
Other anon is right that inflation is not as simple as we think.
We are dissolving the american dream as we speak. In 20 years home ownership will be for the very wealthy, and people will end up working until death, with retirement being something that only the well off can afford.

This is it anon. The flood waters are rising, and there aren't enough spots on the boat. You have one chance to make it. You cannot fail.

This.
Look at Coinbase's pre-IPO price, and the IPO price for AirBnB. They both started high and were probably overvalued from their opening on public markets.
Why? Because everyone realized that if they hadn't fallen for the "internet is a fad" FUD and had bought $5000 in FAAMG stock in 1998, they'd be millionaires today. Do think math, it's incredible.
Now, they're all looking for their second chance by throwing their money at hot "tech startups," not realizing that the future growth potential is already priced in.
It's gonna be a rough ride, but crypto is the modern equivalent of 1998 apple stock. Just like the dot com bubble, lots of bad projects are not going to survive, but putting in even a couple grand into good projects today could have you set for retirement in 20 years. The only people casting doubt on this space are other coiners trying to fill their bags before it takes off.
