That's already a given. I want to reach a point where I can buy a good amount of land with some distance from major cities and have my kids grow up there.Something with a forest/ farmland/northwest look. I plan to have a few of my family members and their families settle there in a 30+ acre lot.

The plan is to make enough money to passively and invest during the lows/highs of the market. I am not looking to be rich but enough money to live self-sufficiently.

If some chimp out occurs you will have your armed family members ready. That's even if they make it out 30 miles from the city after destroying their own homes and starving. This happened in Oregon where they tried to move out the city and where blocked by armed resident that didn't put up their shit and police told the BLM protestor to fuck off.

China is making great strides in the space field. They finished their equivalent of GPS and are sending rovers constantly to different planets. They are even building their own space station. If anything China is what the US was in the 1950s with innovation.

This parasitic mindset is the very problem you're bemoaning. In order for you to get goods and services for free, somebody else has to provide them.

If you said you and your kids/family were going to grow a product or provide a service from your farm it would be different. But not everyone can be rich when being rich requires having serfs who give you a portion of their production to provide the "passive income" you're talking about. When everyone is piling on the passive income bandwagon, the horse simply gives up or dies.

Of course you are. You are asking somebody else to raise chicken/pigs, chop firewood, etc, and then give you a portion of it for doing nothing. This might work out short term but ultimately it always fails because once the entirety of society becomes rentiers/leeches, the people actually doing the work simply stop paying them for sitting on their asses. There are a lot of transactions and financial instruments which obfuscate the fact that this is what's happening, but it always happens. There's no such thing as a free lunch.
