if you're patient 10k is an okay amount to throw in. but think about it like this: you have to earn enough rewards to cover your intial staking fee as well as the fee to re-stake those rewards. so really, it'll just take longer to grow that rewards pile enough to make that first re-staking worthwhile, and if you've added a few thousand BNT to that 10k, it'll only get easier from there
the main thing is just patience. even the pics of big stacks anons have shared with ridiculous reward pools have been the product of patience and risk tolerance, and that's with big stacks
