I thought PoS is the future, now whales are manipulating Cardano against the little guy?

How do you explain this?

no anon. What you're reading there is the plight of the unsuccessful stake pool operator. It is a game of trust and advertising and appealing to stakers. Some people are better at that than others. Some people have more time to dedicate to those aspects of the business than others, and thus are more successful. It is not about whales vs small guys. If you are better at outreach and attracting delegators as a stake pool operator, you will attract people to stake to your pool. There was a pool that was struggling and they started advertising on 'The Cryptovisor' youtube channel and now they are fully pledged to and are opening up a second pool. Right now the economics almost require a person to run 2 pools to be profitable. That is changing quickly as the value of ADA increases. Also, in the future Cardano's D-parameter will be modified to make the target range for stake pools 1000+. When this happens it will lower the saturation threshold for stake pools and give opportunity for 500 additional pools to become profitable. Stake pools are a business not a charity. People are competing.
