You should've seen how the Dow Jones was fluctuating massively back in March. It was going from 25,000 to 18,000 then to 21,000 then to 20,000. It was even on the news that the feds were pouring billions, if not trillions, into the stock market to prevent it from collapsing.

>> No.28001869

https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/TREAST

These people are retarded if they think the money was distributed and then used to purchase assets. Some of it was, but a lot of it was used by the fed to outright purchase assets and decrease the supply of them on the market. The fed doesn't have a bank account, when they buy shit, it literally comes from an invisible bank account which is the very act of printing money. That in turn puts money into the economy/reduces supply, and you have what we have now. Constant all time highs and a bubble economy of fat lazy niggers living off the prosperity of your future children. The U.S. financial system will collapse in the next 20 years.

Into assets, equities, real estate, consumption, etc. Money is a medium of exchange and a store of value for investments. It's fungible, which means it can be converted into illiquid goods. And yes, some of the value of that money was "lost" to inflation but only mildly.

The problem of course is that it's *drum roll* unsustainable. There will always be more and more debt that just circles around and around. It's a debt based system. Everything tied to the banking system is tied to the enormous debt bubble we're in that will ultimately pop when either it deflates like an overgrown balloon or inflates so much that the middle class will not be able to live sustainably in society anymore as prices in the real economy rise.

The true blackpill for many people is that even the money in their bank account isn't there. They don't have money in the bank. They have IOUs -- the bank owes them the money. It's the reason why bank runs are so devastating, the bank doesn't have your money.

Invest in tangible assets folks. Crypto is also better than money in the bank.

You should buy some gold or silver though. Or any physical, tangible asset for that matter. Single malt Scotch whiskey, canned food, any collectibles that maintain their value well are also amazing investments. Real estate would be good but those prices are in a major bubble. Though a good plot of land in the middle of buck nowhere would be great if you can get it for cheap, especially if natural resources can be extracted from it.

>> No.28004005

It will not pop until other countries (China esp.) decide to stop buying USD debt. Since U.S. currency is basically the reserve currency of the world, that won't happen anytime soon, if ever (i.e., when it does, it will be because of some world-ending event).

Yes, fractional reserve banking relies on IOUs, but as long as the financial system is working, people will not be demanding liquidity. They would rather invest.

And yes, crypto is a great hedge against inflation considering the APYs outpace the annual rate of inflation, which is ~2% or lower these days as well as S&P index.

I don't see in the article where it says they're buying gold. That would be pretty retarded for a government to do, desu. This part is important:

>Analysts cautioned that the reduction in China's US Treasury holdings was not necessarily a sign it was reducing its overall US dollar-denominated securities holdings, since it could buy other assets such as stocks or corporate bonds instead.

They're probably just chasing higher-yield assets (still dollar-denominated) since returns on U.S. bonds are so low thanks to QE.

Ah interesting. These are all from different years so one narrative doesn't really come through. Looks like 1) they are hedging dollar weakness by moving some of their reserves into gold. I think this works because they also happen to be the largest gold producers in the world and 2) Russia wants to de-dollarize to avoid effects of US sanctions (not necessarily because they think US treasuries are no longer a good investment).

if you want to fight the system you have to be buying gold and silver then. THAT will be the medium for transferring wealth, like it's been for the past 5,000 years, every time a great society collapses.....they always go back to gold.

eventually a new currency will be developed, eventually the country will print money out the ass as it drifts away from the gold standard and wages war and greed reigns supreme.

rinse and repeat.

>And yes, some of the value of that money was "lost" to inflation but only mildly.

They want you to believe this but the people who truly understand how this works know that the inflation rate is higher than 2-3%. They use all kinds of contrivances to make the inflation rate lower than what it really is. IF the US government used the same SPI model that they did in the late 1970s the inflation rate today would be 9-10%. That is how bad the currency is being debased. The reason they don't do that though is due to many inflation adjusted responsibilities that the US government has, such as paying out money to people on the social security system on a inflation adjusted basis. If they keep the inflation rate "low" or seemingly low according to their own statistic then they benefit because they are paying out less social security. That keeps the government budget deficit lower.

Red is the US 10 year treasury bond minus the 2 year treasury bond yield (look up yield curve).
The white line is the S&P 500. You can see every time the red line crosses positive over 0 the white line quickly comes down to "meet" it (stock market crash) We just crossed over, well a year ago or so, and the stock market is so over inflated a crash could be enormous.

everyone should be stacking as much silver as possible right now. it's the most severely undervalued and suppressed asset on the planet, and besides that the industrial uses for it in future tech are off the charts: every electric vehicle needs tons of silver, solar panel industry needs it, it's used massively in healthcare. over the next 10 years it's going to fucking explode.
