Not true, what will be adopted is the cheapest most efficient solution, fantoms architecture will beat out any current competitor right now unless some new tech or approach is unveiled. Lachesis is the most efficient means of building a fast and cheap network, it’s honestly how crypto should have been designed from the start and I’m surprised it took this long for this concept to become popular.

The market will decide what the better option is, ‘familiarity’ won’t factor in as ETH is relatively new still and your average normie has no idea what it is. Gas prices are killing it, so the market will be willing to invest in an alternative.

Another thing to consider is the systems longevity. ETH hasn’t been around that long and look at the gas fees. Around 1% of the globe is in crypto, so we desperately need to solve for scalability in addition to security and speed. Fantom does this, that’s the point of it, so as its competitors age and slow down and their transaction fees increase, fantom will still be there going strong and outlast them. Just a matter of time.
