I know OP specified no crypto, but there're no suitable threads for my question:
Could someone explain to a brainlet like me how am I getting almost double the profit from mining with my gpu? I was getting ~1.5 bucks a day last week and now I am getting almost 4 a day.

Growing a fruit tree might work as a "passive" income as long as you farm the fruit it bears at the right season and find a grocery or distributor to sell to. Farming other crops can help, but those will require maintenance.

Anyway me I'm using the low bank rates to buy student housing in a mid size city and rent it. It's slightly profitable, even in this weird year. But it's some work, and I will only be able to live off it at the end of the loans, in 20 years-ish

People mention this alot and it requires a bit of work but vendong/gumball machines are good. I am actually working on this vending machine that doesnt use electricity and will have a big red lever crank. Renting out shit is huge, there are apps that will let you rent out your yard and stuff like that if you dont want to get into legitimate real estate.
