Anyone else too stupid and poor to understand how to do this shit, but also depressed knowing about how many anons make it big?

Why the fuck is trading and buying crypto the most unintuitive, complex shit imaginable

Why do I need to pay 50% - 200% of what I'm trying to purchase in fucking GAS FEES. WHY IS THIS A THING

Why can't crypto just be as easy as investing. I bought Dogecoin on Robinhood for the meme and it opened my eyes on how easy it was

Because the USD is the only legal tender in the US and likewise every other country has a legal tender, so they have to make it complicated as fuck to keep the bulk of normies out of it. You didn't actually buy doge on RH, you bought an ETF that holds doge.

I'm a week-long oldfag after doge on rh made me 5x my gains so let me impart my accumulated wisdom as of this week -

1- it is way more complicated because it's unregulated, unvetted you could say, and precisely because it's not on the easy places like coinbase or whatever

2- people here like to forget that cb (or cb pro) don't have all the good coins in the us and even more particularly not in all states. I live in arguably the most cucked state of all

3- gas fees don't scale with size of transactions but they do change throughout the day. You came at a time when gas hit a new peak. 35 dollars isn't bad for a thousand dollar investment if you can time it at such a time of low network transactions but it isn't for swinging. Not unless you have money to blow

4- you can wait for things to get listed on cb or whatever but you'll have long missed the lowest point to buy in. That's not necessarily a terrible thing considering ethereum for example is still going up even if you purchased last week like me (lol), but you won't turn a one dollar into a five, overnight

>> No.27893926

what is a bi-weekly buy in?

And the main problem I'm having is I want to buy something NOW. But I transferred a few hundred to my coinbase pro, and it's going to take 6 days to "verify" before I can use it to buy something like Rubic or Cardano for example

DCA is dollar cost averaging

We presume Bitcoin is going to be 7 figure coin at the end of the decade or into 2030.

So dca means you just keep buying any Bitcoin you can afford now every time you get some disposable income, you don’t look at the price, you don’t worry about highs or lows. You just buy every opportunity you get with any disposable income you get.

Basically, you just buy some bitcoin with a set budget on a set timeframe. For example, you promise yourself that you will buy $50 of bitcoin every single week. Don't worry about the price of the coin or the timing, just throw in $50 every week.

I feel you OP.
I'm not going to make it. Out the 800 I put in in 2016. I have 80 left.
It's enough to know I'm not good at this.
I'm not even envious of the anons that have made millions, I'm happy for them. They saw something I couldn't. All this is outside my understanding, I can't really even understand what to sit on my last 80 is in usd, just because. I might cash out and buy myself some models.
I live paycheck to paycheck, and really the only thing I can do is try to appreciate what I have left.
I have a loving gf, and a happy dog. Both love me very me, I want to cry often because of how I fucked up my life, but it never solves anything. That's life, some of us don't make it. We just watch the rockets leave.
Good luck to you anons still waiting for yoir missions to take off, and congrats to the rest of you already sailing the star. Live nicely, and happy.

As far as I know I'm real.
I might be an anomaly of the simulation.
The reason why? I'm an anon, no one here will ever know who I am. Some might read my post, others just skim by and miss it. Even to you, once this thread dies, I will be nothing but a short memory.
Sometimes we just want an ear, I could never tell my gf this. To her, I'm her rock. To her it seems like I'll make it, when I'm falling apart inside and because I know how most women are, I can't breakdown in front of her. No woman wants a broken man, no matter how much they say they want you to open with them. They can't seem to ever understand that even rocks break.
