its OPENDAO - OPEN

OPENDAO - OPEN
Marketcap: $4 million
TVL: $57 million
Partners: REN, LINK, UMA, OCEAN

What is it?

OpenDAO serves as a bridge between real-world and crypto assets. The goal is to bring more value into the space by providing exposure to real estate, stocks, and more... all in a permissionless and seamless manner. Currently, the protocol is working closely with UMA and Ren to develop new stable coins and in Q1 2021 will release the USDO — a dollar pegged stable coin backed by the world around you: starting with Bitcoin and Ethereum, but rapidly expanding to include other on-chain and off-chain assets.

This is massively undervalued. Their partners have marketcaps 100x the market cap of OPEN. They are working on creating stable coins for each of their partners as well as tokenizing real estate. There are also rumors that they will be working with Sushi to create a Sushi stable coin.

Confirmed in telegram that they have multiple more partners lined up who are all top 100 projects.

In the future, OPEN holders will govern and receive fees from the protocol. You'll also be able to borrow against your OPEN to access more liquid capital to yield farm or do as you please.

alpha was given. you can do your research.

ill give you a little tip.

when rook when on its run from 80 to 650, it was in a stealth phase prior to that. it had massive REN connections and was situated very well with its partnerships but nobody knew its potential.

this is the same play. if you follow ren, uma, or ocean protocol you know what sort of capital is behind those projects and how well they are positioned to succeed in the space. those projects all have marketcaps 50x-100x the size of OPEN.

crypto is generally as easy as following the money and beating the hype. the only other blatant sleeper project that is due to 10x-100x from where its at right now other than this is UNN.

im not telegram shilling. im telling you whats up. this project is going melt faces this year. i encourage you to hop in the telegram, get a taste for what the rumors are, get a taste for how undervalued the coin is right now, and learn and understand what they are doing long term.

Thanks anon, really helpful. I find it difficult to sort out the potential winners from the others, there's just so many coins...

I was looking into UMX, they have a nice app for margin trading on uniswap and it's still a low MC with no pump. The team has locked 2.6M$ liquidity for 101 years (kek) so that gives me a lot of confidence, i.e. they're serious. I was thinking of going into that but I'm kind of on the fence now if I should get into OPEN instead, I'll need to do more digging for sure but skimming the articles it's ambitious.

It's just unclear to me what features I should examine to identify the best opportunity, information overload I guess

crypto is about following the money, defi even more so.

there are so many projects out there, and a lot of them are doing cool things. not all will survive though, and somebody's cool tech only pushes the price so far.

always look at the partners, the people who follow the token on twitter, the telegram community. see what kind of money is behind the project. how well positioned are they to succeed? is it a passionate team with a cool product but no connections? - probably more of a short term play. is it a passionate team with a great product and strong connections - long term.

identify this stuff and identify the ways in which the project seeks to capture value. how large is the market they are tapping into, how sustainable is it? do you see it existing 5 years into the future? these questions matter not only when asking yourself if you want to hold long term, but also in thinking about how potential buyers are looking at the coin.

UMX, I'm currently not so sure on. trading platforms are a crowded field imo, and there are others who are positioned to be more successful. (wootrade for example).

for myself, i like UNN and OPEN, they both seek to capture huge amounts of value and will grow organically as defi grows as a whole. the potential is massive for both these projects, and the investors and partnerships they both have put them in a very good position to succeed. they also both have teams with lots of experience as well.

anyways, those are my 2 cents. rn, happy to answer more questions

Very helpful, thank you so much for taking the time to explain all this. I can definitely see your point in terms of the partners and being in a crowded market, I guess the recent RBC pump has been skewing my view since they don't seem to have many connections and the AMM market is very crowded already yet they have been making steady gains, perhaps it's just an outlier.

Anyway, I will look more into both projects, I appreciate the facts they haven't really pumped yet, seems like a good entry point for either of them

>>27886037
I'd diversify into something thats even a lower cap. the way you win big in crypto is going in on something that has a bottomed out chart and lots of potential and riding it to the top.

for that reason I like UNN and OPEN (although open has pumped a bit already).

REN is great and is going to continue to exist in the space. its just likely it will move a little slower than some of the other coins.

also just looking at upside, REN is an almost 800 million market cap that has 3x'd in the past month.

UNN is a 20 million market cap that is up like 50 percent max in the past 2 months, and OPEN is a 4 million market cap with a ton of room to grow.

they are riskier bets, yes. but also very certain ones given their partners and backing.

if its something like this, just ride the momentum. feel it out a bit and if you feel people hopping on the hype train and the chart keeps posting higher lows, then yeah, its all good.

learn you fibonacci levels, moving averages, support and resistance, and general trendlines to get an idea of when to take profit.

or also just sit back and let it rip and come back in a few months. but when youre in a coin (no matter how good and how much potential) and you're up like 10x, do yourself a favor and pay yourself at least a little bit.

that being said, its market cap is worth more than OPEN right now which is a testament to how undervalued something like OPEN is given its partners, TVL, value proposition, etc.

this project seems to be good, but is less of a safe bet than others out there.

alright, so hedging, rolling profits, etc.

take profits on the way up. use your capital to invest in other, unpumped projects that have loads of potential. but most importantly - PAY YOURSELF.

after that, you can roll stuff into ETH, BTC, yield farms, stablecoin farms. or just learn how to trade/chart so you can time good entries on solid blue chips.

but there are times in crypto its better to sit in cash.

2018 mania. I think we are in the "disbelief" stage still. my read on the market is that we are going to get two alt seasons. this one will be smaller than the one that follows.

we've seen nothing yet in terms of alt season too. ethereum only broke its all time high a week ago. it hasnt touched 2k even.

defi right now is strong as shit. and we arent even in a bubble yet.

it will be a bubble though. so just be sure you watch the overall defi marketcap and pay yourself. you don't want to be the last one dancing when the lights turn on!

Are you still in BAO? I think it has potential long term with a clear vision from baoman, sushiswap partnership, xdai soon... Then again the projects you mentioned are much more unknown and low cap, I guess for someone with high risk tolerance the play would be to roll some BAO profits into these? Note that I'm just curious to get your thoughts, ultimately I know it's on me to make the decision, just helpful to get some external input

Thank you.
>take profits on the way up. use your capital to invest in other, unpumped projects that have loads of potential. but most importantly - PAY YOURSELF.

So my plan was just that - find a good safe(ish) pump I could ride to get actual capital to then use on safer bets and so on. I'm like most /biz/raelis here, only had about 3k to start with (pic related, prices not updated). Also just bought 942 OPEN. Going to study and follow the tips you posted so I can hopefully make it.

>my read on the market is that we are going to get two alt seasons. this one will be smaller than the one that follows.

This gives me real hope. I was worried I picked the wrong time to start because of some potential correction coming. Buy high/sell low and all that. But I'll do my best to not get dumped on.

i research literally all day every day. i dig around on twitter and telegram constantly and i generally am always digging for projects. just kind of an autist with this stuff i suppose .

and ive been around the space for a long time so i feel like i have a pretty good read on whats a bullshit project and whats a project with good potential. that came by making money but also by losing a bunch of money in the past. i suppose i know how not to get burned and what to look for.

just research and train yourself, listen to people who know more and actively seek out knowledge and info. educate yourself on the tech and finance. always be looking for projects.

when you find a gem that is followed by many people on twitter but that everyone is being completely silent about (like this) assume they are accumulating for themselves.

silence is bullish. on biz the best stuff always gets the least amount of replies. but you need to have judgement.

I usually take note if big twitter accounts are following (e.g. DeFi God, Tetranode etc.). Can't seem to find any big account of note for OpenDAO though (using https://socialbearing.com/search/followers/opendaoprotocol).). Anyway that doesn't really matter, point taken and I can see how that'd be a useful metric indeed.

No. People on here are just waiting for the next unpumped coin to put their money in and do so the second they see it mentioned in a non-shill way. This is how crypto works now.
