Explain what I am missing with short selling?

I borrow (how the fuck you even do that, I dunno) 100 shares at stock A and sell them to redditfag for market price of $15.00 (1500.00)

A wild dip appears.

I buy 100 shares of stock A at the dip of $10.

Market returns stock A to 15.00

Why not just buy 200 at the dip?
