I'd also add anything e-commerce to that list. I do supply chain and sourcing for an E-commerce company, and its super comfy. This sector is doing very very well right now, lots fo jobs. You can also self educate yourself to get in. I'd also say that working for one of these companies is like being paid to learn how to do it yourself one day.

Are you me? I applied to a Craigslist posting wth no experience 5 years ago, and have fallen into the comfiest arrangement ever. I just got a brand new work macbook sent to my house, a chunky raise and bonus, as many "free samples" of product as I want.

I got a data entry job because fuck retail and just worked up the ladder stupidly fast. The guys at the top think we're working really hard but really all the KPI uplift is just because people can't shop the high street lmfao.

Yeah drop shipping is shit, people do make it flogging cheap Chinese shit though I read a BBC article on it recently. I think the future is appealing to boomers and dumb millennial with social ads, I'm just not sure on the product. There's good mark up on clothing, especially if you design it yourself.

Got promoted to senior dev since this started. I'll find out the associated raise amount in March. My company is still up in the air on what the "return to normal" plan is, but I'm planning to make the case to my manager that I continue remote for good. I currently live in a very HCOL state with high income taxes and am considering moving to Florida or some other low tax state if I can stay full time remote. I make 100k before taxes, that may go up to 115k in March. I don't ever want to go back.

Clothing can be high margin, but often has heavy duty tariffs on it depending the country you are in. That said, it's super easy to pay someone on fiverr $10 to design you a complete garment techpack and send that off to a factory.

Kitchen equipment is a great niche too. So many different products that it's not hard to break into it.
