Dollar cost averaging. Don't go all in at once. Buy a dip, watch it for a while, then decide your next move from there.

>How can I know when will it go down or up?

spen sever thousands of hours studying technical analysis watching videos on yt about manipulations and reading books, writing journals on your developed strategies, going to psychiatrist to get a proper mindset, losing thousands of dollars learning to swing trade in forex, getting scammed on your first steps in crypto, doing research looking for gems checking coinmarketcap for new tokens everyday, following devs activity, order book, reading countless dry whitepapers

actually forget it, we are all rich here and you will get rich quick too, you, your dog and brother, everyone

its easy, you literally can lose

only if you do it long enough because it is when beginners luck fades away and you are left with statistics, your 10 consecutive luck based wins in the beginning will lead you into blowing the whole account at once going broke, several times untill you learn
its not about entry, not even about exit, its about psychology

of course you will waste your time staring on 5m fucking charts all day instead of learning, all of us did

you will make all possible mistakes

look, you probably have some idea on how hard it may be and what amount of effort you need to put in order to profit, so multiply it by 10

you know, i`ve talked to people who are working in hedge funds and proprietary firms, in forex 5% gain a month is considered great. thats for professionals

in crypto, you can gamble on shitoins or do traditional investing. the lattest yielded me about, uhh 70%? this bullrun? i nearly doubled. but thats all about it. no x10 flips, unless you have a 4-5 digits account and are willing to take risk. if you are going to start with 2000$ you better go gamble on shitcoins and morally prepare to lose everything as it is the fastest way

one thing i always knew but havent been able to explain untill recently was:

it is NOT a get rich quick thing. remember the funds returns.
and it is NOT easy.

you will be far better waging, i AM serious. if you are in a college or unemployed, or working a job like sys admin, you can go for it. but you wont get rich quick. its a regular job if you are a swing trader and a risky investment if you have capital.

Unironically buy doge if doge can make it past .1. Dont put in what youre afraid to lose. All crypto is a stupid gamble and youre not guaranteed to make any big short term wins.

and the last thing, OP, a practical advice on where to start

start with candlesticks. japanese candlestick, how they work. how timeframes are constructed of each other. then, crypto fundamentals. technical stuff along with order book, cluster volume analysis. for ERC20 shitcoin gambling: fiat->binance->metamask->uniswap

research Wyckoff cycles, dont use trendlines BS or strategies like MA crosses and whatnot, it is unironically supposed to make you fail, it is what hedge funds want you to lean. I am mostly talking about forex, but same applies to crypto and stonks as well. dont be gullible. dont buy fucking courses from nobody. always DYOR.

advice if tryign to day trade:

if you see something pumping 80% of the time you shouldnt buy in.

only buy when something appears to be at its bottom (use 15 minute range for this). If you get excited and buy on the upswing theres a solid chance as a newbie youll hesitate too long and buy at the top, then panic sell when its dropping.

set realistic goals, is something is at $100 a share expect either a 5-10% gain or loss before considering a sale. if its on a downswing and youre confident it will go back up buy more at the low point, that will offset your initial loss.
If its on an upswing watch closely and if it seems like its a whip sell immediately. any huge instant gains cant be sustained for long.

read white papers

i started with 3300 and lost over 600 within my first month. So expect about a 20% loss when youre learning.

dont swing your whole stack

How to gain experience without risk:
>lurk any shitcoin thread on /biz/
>decide if you would buy in
>if you would, write down how many you'd buy and how much it'd cost you at the current market price
>follow the threads and get a feel for the emotional highs and lows the holders are going through
>decide if/when you'd "sell" and how much you'd profit/lose
>????
>profit (in experience)
tl;dr larp, don't fomo in
Note: I didn't say to actually post in the threads as if you're a real holder ;^)

Don't fucking swing. Buy and hold. Seriously just fucking hold until you are ready to convert everything into fiat.

If something you bought crashes, oh well them's the bricks. If it crashes to nothing, no point selling and it has a chance of going back up at some point regardless. If something you bought pumps to fuck, unless it's enough to dramatically change your life RIGHT NOW just fucking hold it.

DYOR and know what the utility of your purchase is. DOGE is fucking stupid because it's just a memecoin. LINK/BTC/ETH ostensibly serve a purpose.

If you find a new coin you want to invest in, don't shuffle coins around just put more fiat into your investments. A lot of people's whole net worth is tied up in coins so they will give up some BTC/ETH for the newest shitcoin but it's better to have a real job and use it to funnel money to increase your principal investment instead of sacrificing gains.
