It's in theory already solved the trilemma (the decentralized test net is proving this)
Solving the trilemma was thought to be impossible for years until IOTA came along and created the tangle which can be scaleable, decentralized and feeless.
IOTA basically makes all other networks seem like a scam in comparison because of their fees.
