All my uni years spent worrying what I would do after I graduated, worried about a life of corporate wageslavery. I don't know how it happened, perhaps it was destiny, but in 2018 made it into one of the comfiest jobs ever right out of uni. I have never stepped foot in an office, and I now I never will.

I shed a tear for our fellow wagies who will never know work day so comfortable, of a day spent wrapped in a warm blanket, your kot by your side, listening to the most kino tunes, shitposting with the anons, and collecting a fat paycheck to top it off. God bless modern society

That is what is so based about this whole thing. The world continues on, businesses still make money, and I am doing fuck all, every day. This goes to show that working in an office is 90 percent pretending to be busy.

>got hired for a seasonal spot at UPS. I got pretty good at the job itself but despite my neet sleep cycle i couldn't keep up with the shifts. Was late too many times and i was laid off once the season was over

now I do doordash and it's honestly one of the comfiest jobs I've had (if you'd call that a job) I only work during peak pay hours to ensure worthy profits. Plug into aux and just drive throughout the evening picking up and dropping off food to the nearby college students in my area, super easy. I even make about the same as I would at UPS(not including the benefits, just pay) with less effort

But it's not comfy enough bros. How do i get a comfy job? i want to neet and make money and doordash has been the closest I've had to just chilling while earning money, since it's so similar to just taking an comfy evening drive with some nice tunes. what do I do?

Commute is easily the worst part about working at an office. It's not just 8 hours of work, it's those 8 hours plus the 1-2 hours you need in the morning to get ready for work, then the commute, and then back home.
What is supposed to be 8 hours of work is more like 12 to 14 hours that you don't have free time, if you have to sleep about 8 hours that leaves a very small number.

If all goes well I can work for some re company in switzerland (EU nationality) and make dosh doing fuck all.

It's all about pretending to be busy, and having good connections. people don't care about the quality of work, they care that you give two shits about them. people want you to like them. let them talk about themselves, never criticize, be hearty in your approbation (and truly mean it). that'll get you much farther than whatever the fuck it is you're doing.

just remember, if you're working for someone else, do the bare minimum (of work, do the maximum of relationships and appearances).

After a burnout in December I decided that I will quit after I receive my bonus in March. Shitty part is that the notice period is two months.
However, since I burned out, I now don't give a fuck and I don't even read 90% of my emails and actively ignore imbeciles on chat.
Good news is that my local manager quit and so I won't have a direct manager closely monitoring my work at least until I hand over my resignation letter. My functional manager is in another country, but now he won't have anyone whom to complain about me, since my local manager no longer gives a fuck and is also cool with me.
So I have 4 more months that I am going to spend doing other stuff and pretending to work.

The Indian contractors don't like to do things on their own so they don't "get in trouble" from their superiors. I have to give them an explicit list of tasks every day that are prioritized or they don't know what to do even though the same information is in our kanban board. We just released R1 of a brand new product so we'll be rolling contractors off gradually through the year so that should help.
I mean I'm grateful they helped us deliver successfully but it takes so much micromanaging to get them to be productive and not write shit code. We have a few of them that are actually pretty good and do great work but a lot of them will just make piles and piles of untested spaghetti code if you don't watch it. I don't get it. Like I know they can do good work but if you don't keep a boot on their neck they just revert back to pajeet code when nobody is looking.
