I am a leaf, I have 8k that I am able to play around with and invest. I know it's not the biggest sum but what should I do with it? I already have played around 2200 on Questrade doing some stocks with my TFSA and learned some things, holding the bag on AMC at 13 average cost a share at 40 shares and 40 Nokia shares but other than that not too bad. Just going to hold those, should I put some money into a mutual fund or with this limited money just go buy ETFs? I am literal level one at this, but I want to be diverting the majority if not basically all my income to investing in these. I live with my mother, I pay her some rent a month, a phone bill and car insurance plus a bit on gas. That is all my monthly cost is, so I can invest the rest of it as I have about 3-4 months in my savings account to keep me afloat in general. I can probably contribute quite a bit to these every pay cheque. Do I do a mutual fund through Questrade or my bank, it's a pretty basic bank Simplii but it has CIBC funds so might not be too bad but the fees seem high.

Thank in advance frens

this alone will pump SPACE tomorrow

Dividends aren't always a good thing. Amazon got shat on for years for not paying divies because he was investing it back into the company, not many people complaining anymore. Especially in the last decade or so with so much new tech and new markets reinvesting rather than paying out can be a huge factor in adapting and advancing faster than other more established and slow companies.

how exactly do you mean we get about $4 return for every dollar in our asset?
that doesn't obviously translate to like a 4x return, in the span of that time.
How much of a bullish marker is that?
what i'm trying to gauge from what you mean is that this separates the wheat from chaff, but what's the cutoff and how much return are expecting from 3.95 vs 4.95?
The timing is also peaking my interest. Do they imply short medium or long term gains?
