No need to replace what can be updated. In the meantime, as soon as anything else starts to gain traction and convince projects to move, it'll cause fees to drop due to the reduced demand, making ETH suddenly even more attractive.

What do you think about binary systems? Do you know any good one on the blockchain? Found Baexdefi (#baex), a lot of tools, fiat, crypto, stock indices. I'm interested in their referral system, looks like a good option to get passive income for your wallet. blockchain open-source code can be safe imo

ETH isn't getting replaced. It's the same reason BTC isn't getting replaced. Too much capital is already invested that does not want to have it replaced and these are just pure capital markets at the end of the day. People will figure out a way to make it work just like how we used NAT to extend IPv4 beyond it's normal capabilities.

Basically this. The people who are rooting for an "eth killer" are just crossing their fingers and praying for a flippening, because they're upset they didn't get in on ETH earlier while it was cheap, and want a mulligan.

The funny part of it all is that even if theoretically ETH becomes kill, there's no guarantee that *your* ETH killer will be the new frontrunner. In all likelihood, you backed the wrong horse, and it'll be one of the other dime-a-dozen killers that takes the mantle.

BTC and ETH aren't even the same thing. BTC is trying to be gold/hard money, how many years has it been since another metal has taken the place of gold? ETH may have a bigger addressiable market (derivatives), but it's not going to be a better money. That's not to knock eth, but it just needs to lean into its own strengths instead of trying to be btc and other things too. I think that's honestly one of the biggest problems with eth. When you try to do too many things, you just end up bad at everything.

Smart contracts on Ada will be released in a couple months. They already made the converters, so once smart contracts go live they can move dapps off of ethereum and onto cardano. There will be a tidal wave of dapps moving to cardano. Ethereum will fail because 2.0 is too far away. Polkadot has smart contracts but no converter yet so they can’t migrate dapps from eth to polkadot and polkadot network can only support a max of 1000 dapps which is a pathetic. The gods have chosen cardano.
