If you put the stop under the limit it’s pointless because the limit would have triggered anyway. I found that my limit orders made far from the price point end up being correct, but snap decisions are always wrong. If you set your sell limit to 0.05 don’t be surprised if it’s completed when you wake up and the current price is 0.056. You only pay the higher bracket tax on the income that puts you over the previous bracket ie if one bracket is 30k at 10% and the next bracket is at 80k at 15% and you make 50k you get taxed 10% on the first 30k and 15% on 20k. That’s just a normal limit order though. At least on binance, the LIMIT price won’t go on the books until the STOP is reached. What I’m not getting is where to put the stop (which is really the opposite of its name) relative to the trade limit to make it at all beneficial. Well, it's possible that right now, average people see DOGE on a decline and can't fathom that it jumped so high in just a day. They're more prudent than we are, for sure. Many also have no crypto accounts, and it seems like user friendly shit isn't verifying so fast. This coin also has one more thing going for it - it's memetic. It is my belief that normies aren't going to read up on blockchain, and pick whatever has the best technology and is a fork of another great coin. They're going to remember how the dumb dog coin jumped 50% in a day, though, and how people were constantly talking about it.
